GFP
The multi-phase pump is a combination of a standard centrifugal pump and a liquid ring pump, both mounted onto a single motor and shaft. The centrifugal pump is used for pumping the liquid and delivers the main performance of the pump. When a gas bubble begins to form in the eye of the centrifugal impeller, it is evacuated by the liquid ring impeller. The pump has one suction and two discharges: a main discharge from the centrifugal pump and a smaller discharge from the liquid ring pump that serves as an air and foam vent. Typically, the air/foam vent is reconnected to the suction vessel.
