A good dairy cow produces about 40 liters of milk per day, which is approx. 2 liters per hour. If calculated to the capacity of this pump we milk 2 million cows a day! The pump weighs a 1.6 ton, has a capacity of 1200 m³/h and is driven by a motor of 200 kW.
Since the renewal of the test bank, as part of the recent renewal of the test lab, Packo pumps can now reach a flow rate of more than 2000(!) m³/h.
Increasing demand for larger pumps
In general, there is a huge demand for larger pumps, with high up to even higher flow rates. The Packo pumps are installed in one of the largest dairy farms of Europe. It is one of the largest pumps for milk ever taken into production.
Also in breweries, the fruit juice industry and in general filtration applications the demand for larger pumps is increasing. Packo is the only player in the market that can offer a hygienic pump with flow rate of 2000 m3/h. Certified with European Regulation 1935/2004 EC.
