Pulsations dampeners
Air operated double diaphragm pumps are having a pulsating flow, leading to increased pipeline losses.
In pump processes were pulsations needs be minimized, Verderair pulsation dampeners bring the solution. When used correctly, the dampeners will reduce pulsations for 95 %.
Verderair pulsation dampeners are made from UHMW polyethylene or 100 % virgin PTFE. Both are also available in conductive version to be used in ATEX environments. The dampeners have a PTFE or EPDM diaphragm, separating the pumped liquid from the air supply.
The dampeners are so called active dampeners, reacting similar as the pump acts. An active dampener is connected to the air supply and has a double working method. First the air in the air chamber will be compressed by the diaphragm that is pushed up by the liquid pulse. Then at the end of a pump stroke, compressed air will push again down the diaphragm to push the liquid out of the dampener.
By this combined function, the Verderair dampeners are not only dampening the fluid pulse in an optimum way, but in addition they hardly use compressed air!pulse in an optimum way, but in addition they are using only a very small amount of compressed air!
